  • Where do I go to put in my meter reading from my copier?

Please visit our website at www.cbsedge.com and log in.  If you have never logged in before, it will ask you to register.  From the home page, on the left side, click meter read.  Select your equipment and then enter your current meter reading.

  • How do I find my meter reading?

On the newer models, you will see a soft key on the home screen that says total count.  You will want to get the total black and the total color counts.  On the older models, you can go to settings, click on status, and then look for total count.

  • How do I reboot my copier?

Press the on/ off switch on the front panel of your machine.  It will say that it is shutting down.  Once all the lights go off, open the front cover to the copier.  You will see a toggle switch on the bottom left.  Turn it off and wait about 15 seconds.  Then turn it back on, shut the cover and turn the machine back on at the top panel.

  • What do I do if my machine has error code DK, VK, MCK, or TA?

This will not stop you from using the machine.  It is a code to let us know you need preventive maintenance on your machine.  Please call us for service or place a call on our website at www.cbsedge.com

  • What do I do if my copies have lines on them, but my prints do not?

The first thing you should do is clean your glass.  You can use a paper towel and light alcohol to clean it or windex.  Spray it on your paper towel and then wipe the glass.  Be sure to clean the small glass to the left of the large glass also.  If it still persists, please call us for service or place a call on our website at www.cbsedge.com.

  • What is a waste toner and how do I change it?

You will get a message that your waste toner container is full. DO NOT EMPTY IT.  Open the front cover and you will see a large thin rectangular piece that you can take out.  It should have release tabs on either side of it.  Remove it and replace it with a new one.  You can order those from us, and it is a good idea to always keep an extra on hand.  It will make your machine inoperable when it is full.

  • How do I load paper properly?

Open the tray you want to fill.  Take your paper in your hand and fan it to prevent jams.  Place it the drawer and make sure the paper is not crooked or folded.  Move the side guide snuggly up to it.  Side guides not being up against the paper can cause it to pull crooked or jam.
