Systems Engineer

Job Description

Central Business Systems, Inc. (CBS), a total technology provider, is seeking qualified candidates for Full-Time Employment on our Engineering Team in our Lexington, KY office. The candidate will work on our IT project team, provide direction for our helpdesk team and assist with escalated end user issues.

This high profile position provides remote and onsite services to CBS managed service clients and requires the use of excellent coordination and communication skills. The engineer is responsible for clear and consistent communications with CBS personnel and CBS client contacts.

Shift:
Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Physical Requirements:
This position requires extended periods of sitting while using computers and other communication devices along with occasional bending, squatting, lifting, pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Ability to travel to various locations within the region for service incidents.

Experience:

  • -Required: No less than 1 years’ experience in supporting and troubleshooting computers, servers, and network technologies.
  • -Customer Service Oriented – Client Satisfaction is a top priority.
  • -Driven Individual with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Understand the features/benefits of proposed technology solutions and troubleshoot the majority of workstation and printer problems.
  • -Basic Knowledge of anti-virus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and other network security measures.
  • -Familiarity with Active Directory Domain including AD User management, Group Policy Management, and Ad Domain Join Concepts.
  • -Azure AD familiarity/experience a plus.
  • -Experience with networks (LAN, WAN) and basic cabling scenarios.
  • -Must be able to install, configure and troubleshoot standard business applications.
  • -The Engineer should have a general understanding of business networks and how to connect devices to these networks for proper operation.

Education:

  • -Preferred Technical training, Associates or Higher in IT or a business degree

Certifications:

  • -Required: A+, Net+ or working toward these within the first 6 months of employment
  • -Desired: M365 Desktop Admin

  • -Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • -Top Tier communication skills (verbal and written)
  • -Real-world experience in all technical careers a plus.

IT Support Specialist

-We are looking for applicants with:

  • -1+ years of experience in end-user support (Windows client OS, Microsoft Office)
  • -Microsoft Windows Server 2012/2016/2019
  • -Support network-related technologies, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN
  • -Active Directory – Account Creation, Permissions, etc.
  • -Office 365 support
  • -Familiar with Multifunction Printers – Performs Basic Connected installations, sets up IP addresses, downloads -printer drivers and provides customer training on printing standalone and network devices

Requirements

  • -Excellent Hardware and Software Troubleshooting and Repair Skills
  • -Ability to walk customers/peers through technical troubleshooting steps by breaking them down at a very low -level
  • -Exhibit a high degree of professionalism
  • -Excellent problem-solving skills.

  • -Focus on documenting known fixes of known problems with their resolution in a detailed manner.

Development Rep Duties:

-Perform territory/call management
